Cat5 Matrix Switch (Smart NetX) allows you to route multiple UXGA Video and Stereo Audio sources to multiple remote monitors and speakers via standard UTP and STP Cat5 / Ca6 cable up to 1000 feet away. The Audio Video Matrix via Cat5 is available in sizes ranging from 8 IN 8 OUT to 32 IN 16 OUT. These units are cascadable to allow up to 32 inputs to route video to up to 64 outputs. This Cat5 Video Router will handle high video resolution (VGA, SVGA, XGA and UXGA) up to 1600 x 1200 @ 85Hz and runs at 400 MHz bandwidth. Control of the Cat5 Audio Video Matrix Switch is done via RS422, which you connect through RJ45 port on the face plate of the unit. There is an optional Windows compatible software control application (SmartNetControl) that includes a RS422 to RS232 converter. It allows port switching through a Graphical User Interface (GUI interface). In addition to this another method of control for Video Matrix Switch Cat5 is using an infrared remote control. Just point at the infrared eye with remote and press the appropriate number for full IR interactivity! The Cat5 Video Matrix Switch can also be accessed via an optional IP module that will let you connect via a web browser. The Video Router Cat5 allows for video loss and compensates due to attenuation in the Cat5 cable. For each color there is an equalization adjustment potentiometer. This arrangement enables compensation for more than 300m of CAT5 cable. Audio on the Cat5 Video Router is presented as dual RCAs for the stereo pair. Output drivers allow the audio to be connected to any amplifier input at line level. The audio will follow whichever source device is selected.
