SmartVM’s KVM Switch with Audio is similar in function to other KVM Switches in that it will allow a user to control multiple computers via a single keyboard, monitor and mouse (KVM), but it also includes the added ability to switch audio from each PC that is connected and transmit the sound to a set of peripheral speakers. 

The Audio KVM Switch is available in a 2-port and 4-port version and supports video resolution up to 1920 x 1440, with a bandwidth of 400MHz. Keyboard and mouse connectors are PS/2 6-pin miniDin and video is VGA. KVM Switch Audio requires no software to operate and PC selection and control is done via push buttons on the unit or keyboard hot keys. PS2 keyboard emulation allows the PS2 KVM Audio Switch to be hot pluggable, which means powering down computers is not necessary. DOS, Win3.X, Win95/98/98SE/2000/ME, WinNT, Netware, UNIX, and Linux are all supported.
