DVI –D Extender supports high video resolutions up to 1920 x 1200. Because of the compact form, it is easy to connect. This unit requires no software and supports simple plug and play functionality. The DVI Fiber Optic Extender is a mode of transmitting high resolution digital video over long distances via fiber optic cable. This technology protects data transmission from EMI and RFI and also eliminates problems created by lightning and power surges. It eliminates the need for long and bulky fiber cables. This unit is fully compliant with DVI which is the emerging standard for video transmission to LCDs, gas plasmas and light-emitting-diode displays, as well as digital projectors. It allows you to plug and unplug different displays without having to worry about initializing the software.
DVI Extender splitter also consists of two units; one being the local unit with 2, 4, 8 ports which connects to your local PC and allows you to connect a local DVI monitor next to the PC; and the other unit is the remote receiver unit which allows you to connect to each of the remote DVI monitors.
