High definition video and audio can be replicated and relayed simultaneously to multiple HDMI outputs from a single source using a HDMI Splitter. A single cable connects the HDMI output device to the splitter and then to each HDTV display. Once powered on, the unit is ready to operate as it works on the principle of plug and play and does not require any additional software for operation. Since a single cable is used to transmit both audio and video, it avoids unnecessary clutter. Whereas some models are backward compatible with DVI-D, others work with HDMI or DVI-D, and HDCP-enabled HDTV’s. Compatible with devices such as Set-top boxes, DVD players, D-VHS players and play stations, these splitters work with almost all operating systems.
A type of video splitter, these HDMI units allow from 2 to 8 devices to be connected, and for larger configurations, they can be daisy chained. Continue reading »

A digital signage solution consists of hardware and software which together creates this technology. One cannot operate without the other. The software is the application being used that allows the content to be regularly updated either manually as needed, through a scheduling system, or by linking in with an outside feed so that appropriate messages are displayed. Most of the software solutions are built on Microsoft Windows technology and are compatible with all industry standard file formats, such as Flash files, Video, HTML, QuickTime, Microsoft Office, and JPG. On the other hand, the hardware comprises of various types of display devices such as, plasma TVs, LCD panels, video cubes, projectors and full matrix LED boards.

Digital Signage technology is an amalgamation of software and hardware which together comprises a digital media solution. Using this medium, information can be transferred in real time to consumers anywhere across the globe. All that is required is a type of software with which content can be updated either manually, through a scheduling system, or by linking in with an outside feed along with hardware in the form of display devices. These devices can be Video Walls, LCD or Plasma displays, Multimedia Kiosks and Projectors. Along with this, one also requires a thorough understanding of the network and bandwidth availability in order for successful deployment of this solution.
Also known as Dynamic digital signage, this solution has a key benefit that provides an increased return on investment. Even though the initial investment in this technology is higher as compared to the static print medium, the costs to update the content relayed are comparatively less. Continue reading »

A DVI Distribution amplifier can be used to connect more than one DVI display to a single DVI input. Up to 8 display devices can be connected to a single source. If a greater distribution is to be achieved, one can daisy chain a number of such amplifiers. The images do not go through a data loss and are as clear and crisp as the source images. These units support a resolution of 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz. This Video Splitter installation is easy and can be completed by connecting the DVI video source to the amplifier, the output of which is connected to the display. Once the unit is powered on, it is ready for use.
This DVI Splitter does not require any additional software/device drivers for operation. It supports simple plug and play functionality. This device also supports the DDWG standard for DVI compliant monitors. Various models are available such as one input, two output single link video; a one input, four output single link video; and a one input, two output dual link video signal splitter.
