The CrystalLink USB 2.0 fiber extender makes this possible by the use of fiber optic cable. You can fully operate and control up to four (4) USB devices from as far away as 1,650 feet using multimode fiber cable. Access to your USB devices is made convenient in a variety of situations.

Benefits of this devices are that you can locate users away from hazardous environments where the USB device might normally be located or you can locate devices away from areas that are vulnerable to theft; reduce noise and heat; or increase desk and floor space. The host computer must be equipped with an EHCI (USB 2.0) host controller. OHCI/UHCI (USB 1.1) host controllers are not supported.
