The VGA splitter extender via Cat5 extends video signals up to 300 meters (984ft) using inexpensive Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6 UTP or STP cable. The 2, 4 or 8 port transmitter unit connects to your video source and allows you to connect an additional monitor at that location using the local VGA port. The remote receiver unit (found under related items at the bottom of this page) connects to each of the remote displays via Cat5 cabling. A Cat5 VGA splitter is the ideal solution for applications where you need to display the same image at multiple remote locations. These splitter extenders are commonly used at airports, stores, restaurants, trains, planes, banks, stock exchanges, churches, shopping malls, clubs and classroom environments for video broadcasting. They can also be used in remote monitoring, presentations and advertising applications.
